Yes, if you’re considering an intimate civil ceremony then the Abbey itself is a lovely bright venue, full of character with lovely tall cathedral like windows. There is a balcony from where the singers usually perform. The ceiling of the Abbey is double height so it adds to the grandeur & ambience & is sure to impress your wedding guests.

Unless you so wish, there really is no need to go anywhere else afterwards for photographs as the grounds are extensive & full of variety; both inside & out. There are beautiful gardens to the front & rear of the hotel. The pavilion overlooks the golf course & Lough Corrib. You have uninterrupted panoramic views to the distant hills.
If you’d like some quiet time with your new spouse, grab the opportunity to take a golf buggy ride to the shore line of the river.
